Protesters try to arrest Condoleezza Rice at RNC event (Code Pink)

TAMPA, Fla. — Police in Tampa stopped a dozen anti-war protesters from entering an event attended by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice after the group said it intended to arrest her for war crimes.

The protesters from Code Pink carried handcuffs Tuesday and tried to enter a performing arts center. Rice was attending an event in conjunction with the Republican National Convention. They said they wanted to make a citizen's arrest of Rice. She was George W. Bush's National Security Adviser when the Iraq War started in 2003.

Officers told protesters to leave because they were on private property...

My question is: Who gave Code Pink ID and passes for the RNC so they could get into the same room with a former secretary of state? The Secret Service isn’t doing such a great job if those whackjobs are roaming the same halls as Gov. and Mrs. Romney and Rep. and Mrs. Ryan.

The article said they tried to enter the building. I work directly next door to the Performing Arts Center and I can tell you, the place is teeming with cops, Secret Service, FBI, you name it. They didn't get anywhere close to Condi.
