Not far from it.
The Last Centurion was a great work. Especially for a conservative audience who would love the jabs at a liberal president who was clearly supposed to be Hillery (written in 2007). The Troy Rising and Prince Roger series are also very good.
The Paladin of Shadows series was a turn off for me. I know it was supposed to be a case of pay evil into evil, but the main character is such a perv that I wanted to see him get blown away.
