There was 2005's Coke Zero, which was practically the same as Diet Coke but meant to appeal to men who were too embarrassed to drink a sissy weight loss beverage like all those weight-obsessed ladies out there. "Fluids, Mandrake..."

Forget cola - my new addiction is root beer, preferably A&W. This is my new drug/drink of choice.

Diet Coke is not bad, especially with a squeeze of fresh lime but for the title of liquid crack (diet) it has got to be Diet Dr. Pepper.

Took me years to stop drinking soda, it is most certainly addictive. Won’t touch it at all now, out of sheer terror I will get hooked again.

I wish the author would not use terms like crack. Anyway, I’m drinking dcoke now...love the stuff.

The Aspartame makes me nervous I’ll stick with diet Hansens or Shasta.

Coke Zero does not taste like Diet Coke.
Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame; Coke Zero is sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Using two sweeteners keeps the concentration of each below the threshold, where you notice any "chemical taste", or aftertaste. Apparently, I'm not the only one who notices the improvement.

I used to be (still am) truly mystified by the relationship of women to Tab, it was puzzling.

Diet Coke, ick! Tasts like carbonated tree sap.

I drink maybe five Cokes a year, and when I do, I drink regular Coke. Don’t think it is going to kill me or make me fat.

Now, BEER on the other hand ...

I don’t need to lose weight, I just drink Diet Coke because I prefer the taste to regular coke.
