Maybe Starbucks lost money that day by people deciding not to patronize for fear of being around weirdos

Additionally, the Facebook page has discussion about this event, so I imagine their are some entertaining comments on this page -- provided one does not get sick skimming over the comments.

The homosexual sect didn’t rush out and save Starsmucks closing of fiscally insolvent stores...why would they think they’d do anything here?

I wonder if Romney ordered Starbucks today.

People might be curious what ever happened to the Gay/Lesbian Appreciation day.

Maybe this is not breaking news, but it at least gives a source of info for people wondering what happened.

Hope I don't get banned...

Kiss of death looks like. I would not patronize a place where such a thing was being staged.

Unlike many here at FR, I do like Starbuck’s coffee. I avoided it like a plague yesterday. When I passed by a local Starbucks, the cars in the parking lot were about half what they usually would be.

Starbucks Appreciation Day by Gay/Lesbian fizzles

What happened, did they fail to motivate a large portion of that .5% of the population who appreciates to go to Starbucks?

Another good reason not to patronize Starbucks - not that we need one.

Starbucks’s has been losing profits for months. This already diffused and fizzled gay soiree isn’t going to help them.

Judging by the number of responses on Facebook. You could hold this event in a phone booth and still have lots of room to breathe and move around.

Isn't fag marriage day every day at Starbucks? I used to go there years ago for my vanilla latte, with an extra shot of espresso.

Haven't been to one in eons because I didn't like the crowd. There were couches and chairs w/ tables set up in our local one; however, when I looked at the patrons, all I could think about was lice and bed bugs.

Once skeeved, that was it.

As a post action report, just over 230,000 people were invited and just over 37,000 people said they went.

Fixed it!

-----

I haven't heard any official report from anyone not claiming to be 'for the cause', so I'll just have to take all the eyewitness reports from individuals who all say it was an EPIC FAIL!

LOL!

There used to be a time when Oscar Wilde called homosexual relations — “The Love that dares not speak its name”.

Now it has become the “Love that won’t shut the F up!”

Did anyone consider that homosexuals are far too few in number to make a difference, and that their supporters are mainly college students who are broke and can barely afford Dunkin Donuts coffee?

No, the problem was that the organizers used the word “day” and all the creeps had tremendous difficulty coordinating around that concept. Then they went into “blame” mode, like EVERY OTHER GD thing these useless twits rant and rave over.

These Lefties, being essentially anti-Capitalist, just simply do not get up for anything that involves spending money.

My theory on why Air America failed. What’s the point of buying ads aimed at people who hate Capitalism?

What happened to the “Truth and Lies, Nature and Convention” thread???? It must have been pulled or moved while I was reading it.

Since it’s one of the best pieces I’ve read here on the subject, I’m wondering how it got lost so quickly.

Hah, knew it would flop. As I said yesterday, Starbucks ha actually chosen to blow the gays off, suggesting they re-name the day (leaving out their company name) and even recommending that the gays spend their money at other pro-gay locations. So if even their “host” rejected them, they were not in good shape. But then we knew that. ;-)
