A pro-amnesty group is forecasting that up to 1.76 million young illegal immigrants would get work permits under President Barack Obamas de facto amnesty announced in June, amid a stalled economy and near-record levels of unemployment.
That estimate is twice as large as the 800,000 new workers predicted by White House officials.
Another 800,000 illegal immigrant youths will be eligible for the de facto amnesty once they graduate, said the report, released Aug. 7 by the Migration Policy Institute, a well-funded, D.C.-based pro-amnesty group.
The new estimate says the de facto amnesty would add as may workers to the legal rolls as the economy has created during the last 12 months, or during all of 2011. Currently, roughly 23 million Americans are unemployed or underemployed, or have dropped out of the workforce.
The officials unemployment rate is currently 8.3 percent, and that number is much higher among young people and minorities.

And the minorities with whom they will primarily compete for jobs will still vote for Obama. Unbelievable.
Who cares if they have jobs or not as long as they are doing what comes naturally and making bunches of little future democrat voters?
They said ‘workers’ but they really meant ‘voters’.
See? There's always an upside.
I thought illegal aliens contributed more to our economy than they took? He sould be adding 10 million of them.
Which is were it really is.
And how many new, illegal voters?
Great work again by Neil Munro- thanks for posting.
Voters
Yes, we have so many unfilled job openings in this country, what’s a few million more unemployed to compete for them. And I’m sure they’ll be voting.
1.76 million new illegal alien workers
3.00 million fewer jobs
15-20 million out of work
The plan: More outsourcing mam?
Obamanomics: If it’s not working, screw you. I’ve got to go. I’m on the links in ten.
Compassion: Rest asured, the Democrats have it in for you.
This is obviously a really bad idea but I predict crickets from the GOP.
A post yesterday said that Cruz said that Hispanics are natural conservatives because he never saw a Hispanic pan -handler.
He was obviously trying to recruit new voters to the GOP with such sweet talk. But we all have seen at least some Hispanics usually women with kids in the store using food stamps and that money is NOT voluntary given.

I see the GOP as the last line of defense between me and the enemy in a war.
So, here is the question: If you think the last line of defense is just gonna lay down their arms at the site of the first incoming water balloon, what preparations will you be making?
Pretty weak defense, Reminds me of the Eastern Europeans welcoming the Nazis as liberators. Turns out that was not what they were up to, that both sides had more in common than the ones who thought they found the lesser of evils.
Well given I am already trapped in single party liberal-land I guess I have to just watch this nightmare play out.
I will repeat what I said many times starting in 2010 before that election: that Boehner taking the House from Pelosi in 2011 (2010 election) greatly INCREASED Obama’s re-election chances greatly. You know how Rush says ‘Losing is never winning’ ?? that is just cheer leading dribble.
But in 2010 Rush was telling listeners that Obama didnt even want to get re-elected, so that didnt matter for those foolish enough to believe him. There was a time I really believed him.

I was too. Seattle.
I bought my farm in central KY two weeks before Obama was elected and moved here last August.
I gave up a high standard of living for a high quality of life (and didn’t take much of a standard of living hit, either). It’s still like heaven on earth to us and we thank God every day that he gave us the courage to do it.
The "talking point" that irks me is the claim that Hispanics all have "very strong family values" and are all "pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, devout Catholics". If that's true, why do I see oodles of Hispanics in the Chicago area that promote the gay pride parade every year, love Obamacare, mock the Pope, and are unwed with 8 kids by 3 different fathers?
Just because we want them to all have "strong traditional family values" doesn't make this a reality. Ironically, I would actually say black voters (who vote Democrat by far greater percentages than Hispanics) are more socially conservative than Hispanics, I've never been people in "the black community" glorify the gay parade and homosexuality the way some in the "latino community" have. I don't think Hispanics are anymore "strongly socially conservative" than irish-Americans are. Sure, there are ones that are socially conservative, but millions aren't. If they were voting Democrat for "economic reasons", then you'd see a bunch of pro-life and pro-traditional marriage Democrats winning primaries in majority Hispanic areas. Where are they?

Good thinking!

Make sure this lame ass administration does not manipulate the unemployment numbers given these people will ADD to its increase....... =.=
I guess Obama is confused, he seems to think workers create jobs, not businesses. Sure that is what we need, more workers. Not to mention how many new illegals will cross now, lie or produce fraudulent documents to show they have been here to qualify for this amnesty.
