CHICK-FIL-A ISSUES STATEMENT TO DAVID WEBB SHOW
DavidWebb Show ^ | 27 July 2012 | Jerry Johnston, Corporate Public Relations

Posted on 07/28/2012 11:21:23 AM PDT by COBOL2Java

Thank you for your interest in Chick-fil-A and Dan Cathy, however we are not scheduling interviews for Mr. Cathy at this time. I would like to provide this statement, and I hope this will be a useful resource for you.

Jerry Johnston
Corporate Public Relations

Statement:

Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business. For example, we believe that closing on Sundays, operating debt-free and devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities are what make us a stronger company and Chick-fil-A family.

The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect –regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender. We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 Restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.

Our mission is simple: to serve great food, provide genuine hospitality and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.

We swung by the Chick Fil A here in Frederick, MD at about 11:05 today. It was already busy. By the time we left, at about 11:40, the place was (as usual) swamped.

I think this whole kerfluffle is going to backfire on the progressives. It would be fine with me if every McDonald's was replaced by a Chick Fil A.

The statement is tolerant, open minded, reasonable, and therefore will be unacceptable to the left.

You can no longer run a business in the communist held areas unless you pledge support to the gay lesbian transgender bisexual queer obamacare islamophile redistributionist liberation movement.

“I think this whole kerfluffle is going to backfire on the progressives.”

It would appear that it is. I think the gay Stalinists will rue the day they made an issue of this.

Just wait until the Libtards realize that In & Out Burger prints Bible verses on the bottom of their Soft Drink Cups and on their Paper Wrappers.

What a great response! I wish more businesses, performers, teachers, etc. would follow their example.

I stopped at the one by Walmart yesterday and it was packed, with the drive thru line around the building. If I'm in that part of town later today, I'm going to stop again.

No doubt they are going to make C-F-A a boatload of money. According to some reports business has already picked up from their usual brisk sales and it's not even Wednesday yet. Wait till thousands upon thousands of us that have never eaten there get our first experience.

My son and family are vacationing in northern California and my grandson discovered In & Out. Apparently at his insistence they ate every meal there for a week. Wish we had one in the Houston area.

on Wednesday we will drive from our rural home in Somerset County to Greensburg, PA. about 50 miles one way...

we plan to let them know we SUPPORT MR. CATHY...and COMMEND THEM FOR CLOSING ON SUNDAYS, We have a local diner closed on Sunday as well...as the Lords Day to spend with your families...that is so commendable... When I was a kid, so long ago...all business's were closed on Sunday...we need to return to that...

I just realized today that I could support Chick-Fil-A even on days that I can't eat there (like Sunday); when I pulled up to the drive-up window to pick up my spicy chicken sandwich, I asked the cashier if she had any Chick-Fil-A bumper stickers.
She gave me one. It's going on the car the next chance I get.

Posted on their Facebook page yesterday:

Hey Fans. Another rumor related to Chick-fil-A that is currently in the media is related to the Jim Henson Kid's Meal prizes. We want to set the facts straight. Chick-fil-A made the choice to voluntarily withdraw the Jim Henson Kid's Meal puppets for potential safety concerns for our customers on Thursday, July 19. On July 20, Chick-fil-A was notified of the Jim Henson Company's decision to no longer partner with us on future endeavors.

There's not a C-F-A close, but if I get near, I plan on buying a sack of something, then marking it in rather large letters "IN SUPPORT OF CHICK-FIL-A" and leaving it in a conspicuous position on the counter for all to see.

The fascists really must have an almighty opinion of themselves and their beliefs. I'd sue the bastards.

On the other hand, lots of non-libs, ie; conservatives, Pubbies and Indies must realize how scary these dictates are. Suppose any of them supported a position on anything which was in disfavor with local political leadership. Chilling.

Vote for more of them at your own risk. That ain't their America.

Chick Fil-A protestors ought to look into the fact that cows are used in their tv commercials to the exclusion of bulls so obviously they are sexist and deserve to be bullcotted.

A very special thanks to Boston mayor Tom Menino for making me aware of Chick-Fil-A. Enjoyed lunch at the Burlington Mall
CFA today. Thanks Mumbles!

First off, I have a couple of gay relatives. And even if I didn’t, I’m a pretty tolerant guy. But enough is enough. My tolerance does not extend to bullies. If one doesn’t toe the line on every single item on their agenda, and march in lockstep, one is a bigot and must be destroyed.

I would support CFA except for one issue: I am not a big chicken sandwich fan.
