I don't know if you can pin this one on the economy - the recession has been going on for four years and the store is closing only now because the owner is retiring. I like to smoke a pipe, but I don't know anyone else in their 40's that does so. I buy all my cigars through the mail as I'm sure most other enthusiasts do.

Still, it is sad to see any business close, especially one you have a lot of memories of. All of my favorite video arcades from the 80's are gone. Things change.

Sad to here about your Favorite shop closing, all of the small smoke shops in my area closed too, the only ones left are over in Westport and they are head shops.

Which isn't somewhere you can take a family on an outing.
