DIY Bumper Stickers: Say what you think! (vanity)
Cafepress.com ^ | July 16, 2012 | me

In the interests of electing Anybody But Obama, I want to encourage people (those of you who feel like it, of course) to speak out and give your fellow citizens your opinion. Here on FR, it's kind of preaching to the choir when we post our opinions (though it's quite a fractious and dissonant choir!). But what about sharing your opinion with the world at large? If you can get a few heads to turn and stare at your great bumper sticker -- maybe even chuckle a bit -- you might actually achieve a tiny, tiny bit of influence.

So how about if we share our ideas for bumper stickers, T-shirts etc.? I'm sharing the one I created yesterday (at the link). I ordered three copies (one for me, a friend, and my dad) and of course if you like it, feel free to get one of your own. (Nope, I get nuthin' from this. Thanks for asking.) Have you got a better, funnier, truer bumper sticker idea? Let's share! Here's mine:

2012 * GIVE THE OLD BORING GUY A CHANCE * Seriously ... could he be worse?

You can make up your own sticker using a cheap color printer.

Use two pieces of good quality clear packing tape to cover it and stick it to the bumper....if you use good tape it lasts quite a while.

If I put what I’d like to say on my car, where I live, it would be vandalized.

It's about time for sunlight readable LCD bumper sticker display devices, driven by Android devices. The text can be varied by GPS location. Ad space could even by sold, enough to pay for gas while driving. Turning it off when parked the leftists wouldn't be sure which cars to key.

Of course the police state would be against such devices, as would leftists, they envy everything, but free speech is a pretty protected right. They couldn't ban such devices, just regulate them to death.

I don't know how to get a photo from my computer (or digital camera) into a format I can post, but I've been using my printer and my pick-up truck's rear window for YEARS.

Going on two plus years now;

THERE'S NO
EMPIRICLE EVIDENCE
OBAMA IS
AMERICAN

YOU CAN'T
FIX STUPID
BUT YOU CAN
VOTE 'EM OUT

I like it. I’m getting one. I think it still works here in areas where you can’t risk a Nobama sticker. I hope so; my car is new and shiny.

Heads up about a recent experience with Zazzle.

I tried to order some anti-Obama stickers and they canceled my order due to:

“In this instance, your order contained products that features discriminatory text, which violates the Zazzle User Agreement and content guidelines. You were sent an e-mail notification with an explanation, however, please accept our apologies if you did not get that e-mail; it may have been routed to your bulk mail folder.”

I, too, have used my rear window in my truck for an 8 1/2 x 11 political statement.

You can print your own bumper stickers with different types of paper stock at Office Supply Stores like Staples, etc.

There’s outside sign paper, laminated paper, photo glossy paper (for inside windows)....all sorts of varieties

I like using photo gloss paper and affixing it to the inside of the back window - if I’m going to a bad area I take it down.

One thing I have noticed recently - In the North East - there are more “Don’t Tread on Me” stickers out there on cars....a great sign that most idiots who key cars have no idea what it means.

A FRiendly suggestion:
Use magnetic paper for this endeavor.
The leftist maniacs will likely vandalize your vehicle.
