Just how healthy is Louisiana's healthcare system?

Melinda Deslatte of the Associated Press has reported today that Louisiana's health department is working on how to cut $859 million from the state's Medicaid program for the poor and uninsured, stripping 11 percent of the funding for health services.

According to sources, the subject Medicaid funds were the very funds that opponents of the recently Supreme Court sanctioned Affordable Care Act blasted Landrieu for adding to the healtcare legislation.

Landrieu betrayed America to get that special bit of pork in this terrible tax bill, and in return allowed the bill to pass. Personally, I'm thrilled that her 30 pieces of silver are being cut before they are ever received. Maybe now Senators will have an incentive to vote based on the merits of a bill rather than for this sort of sleazy payoff. Conservatives need to do our best to cut all future pork too - it's taxpayer money and should not be used for bribes that harm the taxpayers.

I know what you mean. Nothing screams “USER!” like a posting history that’s nothing but “1 of X” 20 or 30 times in a row.

Did not know anyone wanted my particular response since I really have not read any of these responses from you until I just happen tonight to be curious to see what the responses to the columns posted here. I thought these these replies were just comments to columns posted. It is not post and running, as if I knew there were specific requests to me, i would have tried to respond. Now that i know, I will look for replies to any post.
