The only candidate who will go from never ran / never won would be someone like Tom Coughlin or a billionaire like a Trump. Ms. Long has never won elected office in a general most likely because like many of us on FR, it is too easy to get one too many opinions out of her mouth. Bob Turner is a solid conservative, with a fatherly temperament, and a real Congressional voting record. The Rats and their media buddies in mid-town (including the Post) have greased the skids for Gillibrand by serving up a softball like Wendy Long. I'd love to find that bar or diner the media folks meet at every day. Why is it they print the same news no matter the outlet, and the same news is repeated from the early morning news all the way through 11:30P? Sean Hannity — ha, every time he opens his GOP pandering mouth he sets back the GOP. Instead, we need candidates like Bob Turner who can calmly and deliberately educate the electorate on the importance of safety and security, how the economy works and how the government gunks the system. Even NYCers can be shown why the big-government programs of the Rats and RINOs simply cannot improve the standard of living for everyone.

Personally, I don’t buy that a candidate has to be a politician to win. Some folks even see that as a negative. Maybe we need some NEW blood.

And wouldn’t it be great to have a Constitutional scholar, Wendy Long, in the U.S. Senate to school her colleagues?
