Speaking at a U.S. Conference of Mayors convention on Friday, Vice President Joe Biden said that President Obama was exaggerating [prevaricating] about Mr. Biden's so-called 'blue collar' roots.
"My dad never worked in a Food Fair," Biden said. "My dad never wore a blue collar, although Barack makes me sound like I just climbed out of a mine in Scranton Pennsylvania carrying a lunch bucket. No one in my family worked in a factory."
Biden emphatically denied that he has blue collar roots - despite the President's claims to the contrary.
It should be noted, however, that Obama is not the only one to engage in prevarications about the Vice President's so-called [phony] blue collar roots.
Mr. Biden, himself, admitted, in a 2004 interview, that he had lied about his uncle being a coal miner.
"The truth of the matter is, I got myself in trouble," Biden said in the 2004 interview. "Hell, I might be President now if it weren't for the fact that I said I had an uncle who was a coal miner. Turned out I didn't have anybody in the coal mines. I tried that crap, you know. It didn't work!" - VIDEO
Biden’s Dad was a used car salesman. Biden is a lawyer. Case Closed.
Biden probably became a lawyer BECAUSE his father was a “used” car salesman.
must be something coming out so they are making a preemptive strike
Like releasing a phony BC before that book came out.
Here is a 2008 story I re-posted as an FR thread recently blowing up Biden’s claims to be a working class guy from Scranton:

As Joe Biden tells it, there was a time his family was rolling in money.
His grandfather, Joseph H. Biden of Baltimore, was an executive with the American Oil Co. Joe’s father spent summers with a cousin, Bill Sheen Jr., whose family estate was in the Baltimore hunt country.
“My dad grew up well polished by gentlemanly pursuits. He would ride to the hounds, drive fast, fly airplanes. He knew good clothes, fine horses, the newest dance steps,” Biden wrote in Promises to Keep, a campaign memoir published last year.
That high life ended abruptly. A series of reversals left the family broke, about the time young Joe was preparing for school.
I always knew it was a load of rubbish that Rimshot Joe would stop by Home Depot every morning on his way to Capitol Hill to drink coffee and polish nails with the employees and dayworkers.
