routine traffic stop resulted in the discovery of a human trafficking operation, according to law enforcement officials.
Fairfax County police pulled over a white Ford E-350 with Texas plates on Interstate 66 on Wednesday and found 19 people jammed inside the van, including 18 illegal aliens, charging documents said.
Police called in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who charged two people with transportation of illegal aliens.
Sixteen of the passengers were from Guatemala. The 17th, an unaccompanied 11-year-old girl, was from El Salvador.
Overloaded vans are dangerous, experts say. In April, nine illegal immigrants were killed when a Chevy Astro van carrying 19 people rolled over in south Texas while fleeing from Border Patrol agents. The crash came a day after another illegal immigrant was killed and 17 others were sent to a hospital when a Ford Aerostar minivan rolled over on the same highway.

Expats sent a total of $2.02 billion home to Mexico that month, up from $1.87 billion during the same month in 2011, according to figures compiled by Banco de Mexico.
The number of transactions also rose from April 2011, climbing 7.6 percent to 6,085.
Remittances fell 2.65 percent in April from the level of March this year.
The median transfer in the first quarter was $332.88, down 3 percent from the $343.51 sent in April 2011.
Remittances are Mexicos second-largest source of foreign exchange and help cover the living expenses of millions of households.
Most of the remittances are sent from the United States, where an estimated 12 million Mexicans live, about half of them undocumented migrants. EFE http://www.laht.com/article.asp?ArticleId=512993&CategoryId=14091
And they are all rushing back to Mexico at a time when Remittances are up ??
Someone needs to make someone talk. This young girl was headed for hades. Rescue of young girls, the place the eleven year old was headed should require a water-boarding of all inside the van, but regrettably blind eyes will rule the day (imho).
The illegals were all turned loose with an order to show up in court. They won’t show..and won’t testify. The perps will go free and the illegals will stay. End of story..unhappy ending.
Police stopped a white Ford E-350, probably without side windows, and Texas plates!
Isnt that a subtle way of profiling for illegal aliens?
How did they get from Texas to Virginia without being stopped by Holders agents?
My thoughts exactly. This girl was headed for a life of forced prostitution in a brothel that caters to Mexicans.
Hell, Holder’s agents were stopping them and handing out food stamp applications and voter registration cards.
That 11 year old girl was most definitely heading for a sanctuary city where she will surely reap the benefits (and unintended consequences).
“Overloaded vans are dangerous, experts say.”
No, what’s dangerous is infettered illegal imigration. What’s dangerous are states, counties and cities that haven’t “dried up the watering holes” where these desperate people find food, clothing, shelter, education, health care, welfare, jobs and a life funded by the American tax payer. Self-deportation works where communities have dried up the watering holes of entitlements. -Wb
