So you’re suggesting that a Christian’s freedom of speech does not extend beyond the chapel door? Are Hindu’s, Sikh’s, Muslims and others barred from speaking about their faith or sharing a beautiful prayer that’s meaningful to them? Or is it only Christian free speech which is deemed “inappropriate” and a hindrance to “proper communication”?

Freedom of speech and freedom to e-mail colleagues about non-hospital business using hospital resources are two different things. This topic has been covered in several threads on here over the past few weeks and the person in question repeatedly e-mailed colleagues with religious messages despite being asked to stop using the NHS e-mail system for non-NHS business. Eventually it lead to dismissal as it would have done in my business, irrespective of the religion in question.
