WABC news/talk Radio news brief help (vanity)

Posted on 05/14/2012 1:42:02 PM PDT by hecht

i listen to WABC to get my daily fix of Rush/Hannity /Levin et al., but at the top and bottom of the hour I have to suffer with doses of liberal Ann Compton style pro- obama propaganda. I am sick of hearing "gutsy, historic etc....". any way to listen without this crap?

Plenty of other stations carry those shows and have news provided by Fox News Radio.

Turn the radio down until around 6 mins after the hour, then turn it back up.

You can listen on line, I have to agree completely it’s jarring to hear the ultra liberal “news” breaks in the middle of a conservative show. They all are bad but imho the worst is any station which carries news spots from CBS.

Many ‘local’ radio stations now stream online.

Some good ones:

WMAL
KCMO
WSBA
WFTL

A good standalone player that connects to many regular radio stations is Radiosure. It is freeware and also has a pro pay edition.

Pretend you’re in the supermarket. The Ann Comptons design the slogans and graphics on the front of the package (gutsy, historical). Turn the package around and you’ll read the Rush Limbaugh version of its contents, “ingredients”!

Big difference, huh?

Have you contacted the shows to let them know? Some stations used to run leftist “public service announcements” during Rush’s show. He put a stop to it.

agreed. it also seems that these ‘news’ reports are replacing paying advertisements, which begs the question are they really political ads paid by Obama and are not at the top or bottom of the hour. Of course, dont forget that Disney/Hollywood owns ABC News. on Yahoo, I had to tape some paper over the screen because Moochele and Barry kept popping into view.

These quasi-commecials replaced the old lady touting qualifing for Food assistance because she was ‘entitled’ and encouraging her friends to do the same. this was a public service announcement paid by the regime.

Twenty years ago I would have a desktop radio cassette recorder. At 9:06 I would hit record and get 9:06 to 9:51 of the show, missing many commercials and the top of the hour news. Then at 10:06 flip the cassette and repeat.

If you are not going to pay for the podcasts, this still may be the way to go. Plus you can listen whenever, like I did on bicycle rides.

The memmories. Gorbasms, Kennedy clan troubles, “Back in the Saddle Again”, Clarence Thomas nomination, Feminazis.

today every 30 minutes Ken Duffy would report on the rousing success of Obama at Barnard, then play part of the new anti-Bain ad, followed by the Romney bully story.
