If You’re Not Worried Yet…You Should Be
SHTF Plan ^ | 5/8/12 | Brandon Smith

Unfortunately, there are many out there who do not share our awareness of the situation. Debt implosions and currency devaluation NEVER simply “fade away”; they are always followed by extreme social and political strife that tends to sully the doorsteps of almost every individual and family. The notion that we can coast through such a tempest unscathed is an insane idea, filled with a dangerous potential for sour regrets.

There are some people who also believe that the private Federal Reserve with the Treasury in tow has the ability to prolong the worst symptoms of the collapse indefinitely, or at least, until they have long since kicked the bucket and don’t have to worry about it anymore (the ‘pay-it forward to our grandkids’ crowd) . I can say with 100% certainty that most of us will live to see the climax of the breakdown, and that this breakdown is about to enter a more precarious state before the end of this year. You can only stretch a sun-boiled rubber band so far before it snaps completely, and America’s financial elasticity has long been melted away.

We’ve kicked the can so far down the road that we are running out of road and the can which was once the size of a soda can is now the size of an oil drum (Try kicking that!)

For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpfull. You can download it at:

http://tomeaker.com/kart/Preparedness1j.pdf

NOTE! THIS IS A FREE DOWNLOAD. I DO NOT MAKE ONE CENT OFF MY PREPAREDNESS MANUAL!

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Or as the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3

Lastly this for the doubters and the scoffers.

“There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger.

Underestimation can be fatal.”

The ironic part is that the troubles in Europe actually give Bernake more room to ease and Obama more flexibility to spend. The worse things get over there, the better America looks as the safe have of last resort.

” Unfortunately, there are many out there who do not share our awareness of the situation. “

A few are coming around, though — My SO, who has, for the most part, looked upon my cautions and preparations with amused tolerance, just last week went out and bought the new stove and fridge (a purchase she’d been putting off for years).. And, as she filled out the check, she remarked that she’d better get them while her savings were still worth something...

This link to YouTube was posted earlier on freerepublic. It’s only 5+1/2 minutes long.

The link explains the USA budget & how the USA is spending far more money then it receives. It cannot last. Arithmetic is as certain as 2+2=4.

The USA debt cannot be paid off. Get ready now for an economic collapse = down load this manual posted by Kartographer.

I think the politics are such that our “leaders” won’t move to fix the problem until there is serious civil unrest. And we aren’t there yet. Because if they did try to do the right thing, the pain would be such that they’d be voted out of office.

People don’t like the deficit, but they like any concrete action to fix it even less. And, yes, that include FReepers too.

You and I are in agreement. That is why I expect this all to end with hyperinflation.

I expect this to end in war. Every war that's ever been fought has been fought over money, regardless of what the history books say.

There will be war. In any war, civilians are always the greatest number of casualties.

It’s like a bad tooth.

Either you go to the dentist and endure the pain now, or wait until it abcesses and becomes infected. Then it is REAL painfull and expensive.

Looks like our rulers are chosing the infected option.
And they laugh at preppers? Bet they are doing some prepping on their own. Like where to run to when the shtf.

I think the politicians don’t want to try to fix the problem because they know civil unrest will be horrific and they might not come out of it in very good shape. So, what they’re doing is setting themselves and their families up in a secure and safe hiding place.

Politicians will be the first to bail out on the country. We’ll see them and their personal jets heading to Monaco if CW2 starts.
