Believe most is true, but would like to see this from a reliable source. I remember that the NG had limited duties and time frame.

"Texas has now deployed its own naval fleet to patrol the Rio Grande River as reported by Jason Whitely for WFAA: the state is spending almost $3.5 million in tax money for six 34-foot gunboats, each which can operate in as little as two feet of water. The vessels are outfitted with automatic weapons and bulletproof shielding."

Is the above true? I've never read about it.
