They support homosexual marriage, as well, by only selling Starbucks coffee in their restaurant.

But I do have a question. Who is the ‘conservative Christian’ in the race?

Conservative Protestants historically...have considered the Roman Catholicism which Newt converted to, also a kind of “cult” except one MUCH more ancient, influential and pervasive than Mormonism.

Many, for example, strongly opposed JFK just due to his affinity to Rome.

Most conservatives in our two party system rationally only want one thing, THE DEFEAT OF BARAK OBAMA.

Newt at this point Newt cannot get the delegates, and cannot get the nomination...hence, rationally, they are supporting the only candidate—IN OUR TWO PARTY SYSTEM—who can possibly DEFEAT OBAMA, Gov. Romney.

A number of our presidents have NOT been committed, bible-believing (or born again), Christians, including a couple of our founders. I believe a pseudo or nominal Christian in political power can be more destructive to the faith, than even a member of a cult.

I’m very sorry for it too, but even a flip-flopping, lying, cultist....is better than the Marxist, fake-Christian, would-be-dictator we have now.

I’m a Newt man, but hey the presidency is a secular office, not a religious one. I can understand why people are jumping on the bandwagon. I think they are wrong that Romney has it wrapped up, but I think that is why they are doing it.

There will be an initial flourish of interest, but I think the “Mormon Problem” will vanish long before the election.

I’ve got plenty of problems with Mormonism, but I think the basic political instinct will kick in...that a man’s beliefs are out of bounds. I don’t think his Mormonism will be a significant issue.

At this point, unless something divinely miraculous happens at the convention, I’m voting for whoever is running against obama in the general election on the GOP ticket. I don’t care if he’s rastafarian, scientologist, moonie, hari-krishna, primitive-Baptist, Catholic, Methodist and yes, even if he’s Morman or Mermaid-Man.

The GOP candidate will be my choice because the only other *viable* candidate running at that point will be obama and I ain’t voting for a demoncrap.
