Last week James "Pudgy" Fiorillo pled guilty for his role in the 2001 murder of Miami Subs founder and casino boat operator Gus Boulis, and agreed to testify against co-defendants Anthony "Little Tony" Ferrari and Anthony "Big Tony" Moscatiello as reported by Rafael A. Olmeda for the Sun Sentinel:

"Prosecutors say Moscatiello, Ferrari and Fiorillo worked together to kill Boulis, who had sold his SunCruz casino boat fleet to a partnership led by Washington, D.C., lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his associate, Adam Kidan, in a deal that was later determined to be laced with fraud. Kidan had hired Moscatiello, who had reputed mob ties, for protection after Boulis accused him of cheating him on the sale. Prosecutors say Moscatiello took the next step, arranging the murder, without Kidan's involvement."

Prosecutors believe the triggerman in the Boulis slaying was Gambino associate John Gurino who in 2003 was himself killed after Boca Raton deli owner Ralph Liotta shot him four times including two bullets in the back.

In light of Fiorillo's cooperation prosecutors now are seeking to revoke Moscatiello's bond pending trial as reported by Curt Anderson for The Associated Press: "police have previously said Moscatiello has ties to New York's Gambino crime family and was close to its former top boss, John Gotti."
