Governor Romney's Climate Protection Plan

While Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts, he signed into law the "Massachusetts Climate Protection Plan." So not only has Romney taken the lead on imposing universal health care, but also on combating climate change. The mainstream media (MSM) has obviously not be doing their job vetting the candidates since this hasn't come up at all in the debates.

I have begun analysis of the Massachusetts Climate Protection Plan, and may follow this up later with my thoughts. Until then, here are some comments from Governor Romney and Secretary Foy on the law.

Since taking office in January 2003, this Administration has embarked on a “no regrets” policy towards climate change. Rather than focusing our energy on the debate over the causes of global warming and the impact of human activity on climate, we have chosen to put our emphasis on actions, not discourse. If climate change is happening, the actions we take will help. If climate change is largely caused by human actions, this will really help. If we learn decades from now that climate change isn’t happening, these actions will still help our economy, our quality of life and the quality of our environment. (Governor Romney) As this report makes clear, the world’s dramatically shifting weather patterns are in part attributable to the often-heedless development patterns of the past. Our houses, schools, shops, industry, cars and transit vehicles all consume energy and generate emissions, which too often have taken a disturbing cumulative toll on our fragile and finite natural resources.... [W]e must acknowledge and repair the damage we have already caused, and we must change our policies and actions to minimize future damage.... Governor Romney created the Office for Commonwealth Development to forge coordinated policies and programs between the state’s energy, environment, housing, and transportation agencies. (Secretary Foy)

And he’s dumber than a box of particularly stupid rocks.

The media has done a fine job of covering for him so far but that’s about to end.

Exactly...they will only cover for so long until it is Mitt vs Obama. If this turns out to be the same as 2008 where McCain brought on Palin to help capture the conservative vote, and Mitt pulls the same stunt, I still do not think that I will participate. I am done supporting these effin RINOs!

Step for step Romney seeks to match Obama on liberal issues, in order to peel off the liberal vote.

Romney HAS to get disenchanted Obama voters, since he has lost us activists in the Republican party.

We can sit on our hands throughout the general, IF, Romney should somehow buy the Republican numb-a-nation.

Let me guess. The plan involves more regulations, more spending, and more taxes?
