I read the entire article. There is utterly no mention of where and when Santorum said the money quote: "I Was Basically Pro-Choice All My Life, Until I Ran for Congress"

One would think if this had veracity, the source - such as an interview with an editorial board - would be mentioned. I didn't see it. And given the clear disdain implied for Santorum's methods in working at Newt's direction, it's pretty clear that the author has his own agenda here.

Philly liberals loathe Santorum. They are not above twisting facts or even making them up wholesale to attack him.

The headline actually wasn’t the headline on the article when it was written in 1995.

The newspaper just dredged up this article, re-posted it to the internet, and changed the headline to make it more salacious, and to attract so-called “Gingrich supporters” to post it to pro-conservative web sites to help liberals attack the conservatives in the race.

It seems to have worked.
