More than a dozen times in his first few months in the Senate, Santorum took to the floor to trash Bill Clinton for not drafting a balanced-budget proposalSo, in his first years, he was already fighting the spending when he could. Nice to know.

Looks like Newt thought highly of young Rick. Good to know.

Hasn’t the Catholic Church been anti-abortion since the Apostle Peter was in charge?

Can you people back this up past "Philly Dot Com"? I am curious why you kids are hell bent to destroy Rick without any evidence? Looks like you kids are on the wrong side of things.
GO RICK!!!

I don’t know about abortions in those days, but the Church has been pro-life all of my life and I’m a little older than Santorum.

[ Just like Wrong Paul: Talk, talk, talk and no results, unlike Speaker Gingrich... ]
1996 PROVED Newt got results, Romney got Romney Care, Paul didn’t get shit done, and Santorum got a few dribs and dabs here and there done....
Newt headed the 1996 conservative revolution in the middle of hostile times/territory, got shafted by moderates in his party and was eventually exonerated it is time for his comeback as POTUS and herald in the Conservative revolution of 2012.

“Kids?” What are you, 90? It’s not “Philly.com” it’s Philadelphia Magazine, which has been around since 1967.

Can we trust who he would put on the Supreme Court?

Does anyone believe that a man that openly opposes contraception in Presidential race isn't sincere on social issues?

Actions speak louder than allegations of words that might have been spoken 20 years ago.
Senator Santorum's voting record and legislative history back up his statements. He voted in favor of the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, in favor of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, in favor of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban in 1995, 1997, and 2000, and against resolutions supporting Roe vs Wade. As well as voting in favor of this legislation, Senator Santorum co-sponsored almost all of them.
