From another 83-year-old Chicago lad on oxygen 24/7. Been on and off hospice this year, but watching the news makes me so mad that I don't want to go until I find out how everything is going to end. If they figured how to pipe talk radio over to the spirit world I'd probably have no objections about leaving before my time. I've also had a bunch of problems and wouldn't mind taking a break from the pain pills, etc.
Lived on the south side, west side and north side during the years I lived in Chicago. Spent most of my childhood there carrying ice to the tenements, loading pop bottles at Comiskey Park during games. My dad worked for Mack Truck down the street from the ball park. I imagine your Dad and I could have had some good talks.
Hey, Eastbound: So happy to have been here with you so long. Stick around! I hear the good guys win here one of these days. You have my prayers!
