It’s almost like once his image got blown, there’s nothing there. The image of who he wanted people to believe he was, was what allowed him to succeed. And, now that the world knows there’s no there there, he can’t even play golf.
I feel sort of bad for the guy. Until he builds an inner person, and I don’t know that he can, he will remain essentially a straw man. Who, once revealed, now can’t even play golf.
There’s a big lesson in there.

Sorry fellas, but this kind of speculation is overboard. Regardless of what any of us thinks of Tiger personally, he has nothing to prove to any of us when it comes to physical courage and “playing hurt.” Tiger gutted out the final round of the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines with a knee injury that would have crippled most men. In the process he made the injury much worse. If Tiger says he’s hurt, I’ll take him at his word.
