In December 2008, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued what is known as a “biological opinion” imposing water reductions on the San Joaquin Valley and environs to safeguard the federally protected hypomesus transpacificus, a.k.a., the delta smelt. As a result, tens of billions of gallons of water from mountains east and north of Sacramento was channelled away from farmers and into the ocean, leaving hundreds of thousands of acres of arable land fallow or scorched.

California voted for the kenyan in ‘08 and probably will again this year, so they’re getting what they want and deserve.
The farming area of the inner valley votes Republican. I suspect that is the real reason the state and feds turned the water off.
I’d bet there are quite a few that won’t this time. Same in several cities at least.
He has stepped on too many people’s livelihoods.
Sure there are still the bribing, and fraud that will go on but I
have to believe that down deep in Americans hearts, they want him gone.

The sad fact that California, my state, voted this bummer in, just shows this state doesn’t know on which side of their bread is buttered. Pray for enlightenment.
He was one of the louder voices in Sacramento on behalf of the farmers in his day so this would be particularly devastating to him.
