Stunning. I guess Obama knew what he was doing, because you seem to indicate that a discussion of Obamacare is now a discussion about religion and abortion. As long as you think that way, Santorum cannot raise the issue. Obamacare happens to be one major reason Santorum is a superior candidate to Newt or Romney. If he has to abandon the issue for fear that it raises the specter of a a “religious” discussion, Santorum forfeits a major advantage over his competitors. Newt or Mitt can match Santorum effectively on jobs or the economy. Other than his “blue collar” jobs angle he has little to no edge on the economy. I appreciate the debate, but I hope he doesn't play it safe, because he'll fade if he does.

I am not suggesting he “play it safe” by any means... he needs to LEAD the charge on the other issues as well or he will be painted as a “single issue candidate” which he is not, but the left will try to keep him taling about abortion so they can try to make that false charge stick... even the Newt folks here on FR are attacking Rick on that.. he needs a strong showing tonight on the “other issues” and not get drawn into the abortion debate tonight..... we all know he is the strongest candidate on moral social conservative issues he does not need to prove that tonight... he DOES need to prove he LEADS the way on the Ecconomy and is able to take on Obama and win! He NEEDS to do this tonight to seal the deal with the American People... God be with him !
