Peter Gleick Joins NCSE Board for Climate Change Education Initiative
January 17, 2012: Dr. Peter Gleick, president and co-founder of the Pacific Institute, has joined the National Center for Science Education’s board of directors. Dr. Gleick, a world-renowned water expert, will advise NCSE on its new climate change education initiative.

Dr. Gleick is certainly the right man for the job. A noted hydroclimatologist, he has devoted his life’s work to the impact of climate change on water resources. His research and writing address the critical connections between water and human health, the hydrologic impacts of climate change, sustainable water use, privatization and globalization, and international conflicts over water resources. Dr. Gleick has written nine books (including Bottled and Sold: The Story Behind Our Obsession with Bottled Water) and hundreds of articles, blog posts, book chapters, reports, and peer-reviewed research papers.
