Members of iconic British comedy group "Monty Python" will reunite for a new film, a science fiction farce, ex-Python Terry Jones said in comments published Thursday.

"Absolutely Anything" will not be a Python film as such, but key members of the gang -- John Cleese, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam -- are involved, said Jones, who will direct the movie.

US comic Robin Williams will also lend his voice to the film, which will combine animation and live action, while producers are attempting to sign up the other surviving Python member, Eric Idle, for the project.

Entertainment news..

Obama Jivethon's Lying Circus' hilarious wild comic parody of an American administration, "They make Monty Python's Flying Circus look positively gloomy," say critics.

Monty Python reacts.

"We felt that out reputation is at stake," said a group member. "We had to do something"

I’ve sort of out grown their brand of humor.

I know they’re getting up there in years, but this should be fun.

And Eric Idle can stay out. His cynicism is unwanted.

Two others that should be along for the ride are Carol Cleveland, who was in 30 of 45 of the TV shows, as well as Monty Python and the Holy Grail; and Neil Innes, who did a lot of their writing after John Cleese left.

Do you know what is infuriating to me?

I recently spoke to someone I know who never “got” Monty Python, or even bothered to try.

She saw that banal musical “Spamalot” and thought it was fantastic.

I just want to smack the “stupid” out of people like that.

My favorite troupe of comedians. Life of Brian is perhaps the funniest movie of all time.

However, the parts of their movies that used animation by Terry Gilliam was the weakest part IMO.

Anything they do has possibilities so I don’t want to say the new project won’t be a success—but maybe its time to let the Python group be remembered for their main works of the past. I wouldn’t want to see a bad last effort.
