The Obama debacle continues on...

Iran has threatened to halt traffic through the strait if the West moves to toughen sanctions including an oil embargo to pressure Iran to abandon its nuclear program. The strait is the passageway for about a third of the world’s seaborne-traded oil last year, according to US Energy Department data.

“Iran has total control over the strategic waterway,” Iranian Naval Commander Admiral Habibollah Sayari told Iran’s Press TV yesterday as the Iranian navy conducted a 10-day exercise in international waters. “Closing the Strait of Hormuz is very easy for Iranian naval forces.”

“The free flow of goods and services through the Strait of Hormuz is vital to regional and global prosperity,” said Lieutenant Rebecca Rebarich, a US Navy spokeswoman in Bahrain, site of the 5th Fleet headquarters, in an e-mail. “Any disruption will not be tolerated.”

It's obvious that the Iranians view Obama as a weak leader. Someone who likes to order predator strikes of single individual terrorists rather than making the tough, bold decisions. They understand the man will back down to Iran's saber rattling. The rest of the western world would have something to say about the closing of the strait, that's for sure, but with Obama's jelly backbone it won't be the US they will be worried about.

His failure to secure an agreement with the Iraqi government is, as Bolton said, "catastrophic". It has emboldened the Iranian government who is, and will be, a great threat to the western world.

Certainly Iran can control or at least stop all traffic in the Strait of Hormuz for a little while.

How long that little while will be will be determined by how long the rest of the world puts uip with it.

If and when the rest of the world decides to take out Iran, they will find themselves holding a tiger by the tail.

If they decide to make this mistake they will be doing Israel a favor. Isreal won’t have to lift a finger, just lay back and laugh while the countries harmed by no oil get the job done on this rogue state.

There is no question that the regime of the Kenyan Kid and his enablers has been an absolute cluster f**k so far as both foreign and domestic policy, but let's not forget that it was 0bama's predecessor, our esteemed 'War on Terror' warrior, who identified the 'Axis of Evil' (aka, Iraq, Iran and North Korea) who, after taking out Saddam like the garbage he was, proceeded to give Iran AND North Korea a pass, talked the big talk about "not permitting Iran to obtain a nuclear weapons capability", but doing NOTHING about it, contrary to the advice given to him by John Bolton himself *AND* Dick Cheney.

George Walker Bush's failure to act when he had the opportunity is the PRECISE reason why America and the world is now facing the impending threat of a nuclear Iran, and the continuing nuclear progress being made by North Korea.

0bama is screwing the pooch, that is for sure, but it was GWB who tied the pooch down so 0bama could have at it.
