No need to treat this as an Honor killing, there are no such differentiations in law. It is a clear cut case of First Degree Murder. I would press for the death penalty.

Of course the defendant could try for an insanity plea, but that would open a whole bucket of worms, with Islam being ruled as insanity in court. But then the Sharia thing would be really screwed up for Muslims. So they would have to Honor Kill this dude.
