Newt deserves a serious consideration for who and what he is TODAY. While still far from perfect, as we all are; he is orders of magnitude better now than in the past. I believe he has the vision to do everything he can to return our Nation to it's Constitutional origins.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. The ‘establishment’ GOP makes me sick. I have had enough of their candidates. Weak sisters, dull as a thud: Dole, McCain, GWB, etc. That is not to say that these weren’t decent human beings...like romney...

I like Newt.

IN JUST ONE WEEK, WE KNOW THESE ABOUT NEWT:

1) He is for Obama’s “payroll” (social security) tax cut extension on LIBERAL grounds that philosophically, you can’t keep Bush tax cuts for the rich and not extend social security tax cuts

2) He is against Romney earning money in the private sector working at a capital firm and equates that to him peddling influence for Fannie/Freddie

3) Takes military option off the table vis-a-vis Iran by claiming a military strike is pure fantasy

4) It comes out that he worships FDR (probably more than God?)

5) He loves Andy Stern the SEIU guy

Did I miss anything else?

In spite of anything Newt may have said in the past, when he was lightyears away from being POTUS, I believe we are dealing with a completely converted Newt at this point.

You mean the Newt who spoke yesterday characterizing Romney's work at a venture capital firm as "bankrupting companies and laying off workers", which Krauthammer said you would "expect from a Socialist"?

The next President will either repeal Obamacare, fire the Czars, cut taxes and spending, etc,. and set us on a path toward recovery and prosperity, or he will preside over the conclusive slide of our Nation into bankruptcy and oblivion.

All that and the MOST important thing he needs to do is protect SCOTUS. Two, maybe three justices will need to be appointed. We already know what type of Justice Obama will appoint!

So no matter who it is who becomes our candidate, we need to be sure Obama does not get another chance to totally end our republic as it was passed down by the divinely inspired founders.

If we get two decent justices, all the rest we hope our candidate runs on will be doable. If not we are done.

So this time vote for SCOTUS!

Newt is worse than Juan McMcain and he is very deceptive about his true inner core beliefs. If we were disappointed with some of George W Bush’s liberalism on some big government spending, Newt WILL break your heart!

I agree with you there.

Newt may be unpredictable and situational, but I don’t think anybody would doubt his patriotism and that he will do whatever it takes to save his country from self-destruction.

I think both Perry and Newt have that much in common.

I will vote for any Republican against Obama.

I will not vote for Gingrich and Romney in the primaries.

I believe Callista and her parents led him to faith in Christ.

LOL!!!! And was this before or after Newt and Callista were having an affair during Newt's second marriage? Callista must be the most Christ-like mistress ever! :)

Thank you so much for a nicely presented vanity. But we just have to disagree.

I find Newt a-moral and liberal. He is without redemption as far as being a GOP candidate. I will never vote for him. In that I also will not vote for RINO Romney, I have made peace with voting Third Party or write in.

I am done with voting for the lesser of two evils. I am done with the GOP overlords pointing to the boogie man and telling me I have to vote for who they put up.

Again, well presented but no. I will never vote for Newt.

Newt does NOT want to go down in the annals of History as the one who completed the destruction of America

I can't help but retort that Napoleon did NOT want to go down in history as the loser at Waterloo!

"...and it was a win all/lose all scenario."

I don’t think you have thought this through far enough. There is no doubt that Newt is brilliant, but that does not translate to being American or pro-American. The guy is for amnesty to illiterates that have lived off the government teat if they have done so for 25 years.

When you heard him say that it was a mistake to sit on the couch with Pelosi, did you hear anything from him, anything, anything at all that made you feel he was disconnecting himself from global warming? No, of course not. That is how knowledgeable Newt is, he still believes in global warming.

What is global warming? Global warming is the lefts new term for global governance. This is where Obama sees himself. Obama sees himself as the world’s government. The election, he has his sites on world domination. That world will be dictated by Andrew Stern.

Andrew Stern hates America, Google anything about Stern and it will be anti-American. Andrew Stern is all about a just and fair world. What is just and fair in Andrew Stern’s world is yet to be disclosed.

Sorry, no sale. Newts don’t change their spots. He’s a smart guy, figured out where to tap into a support base, and is now telling Conservatives what they want to hear to get elected. If he somehow wins it all, he will quickly revert back to his RINO ways. Mark my words.

Tell ya what, if Newt comes out and publicly states that he’ll repeal the Sporting Purpose clause of the 1968 GCA, Hughes Amendment, and all reporting requirements for multiple purchases of any firearms, and severely restrict the BATFE and their authority on firearms given how they and the DOJ have totally abused their authority in F&F, I’ll vote for him.

But I want him to say it and mean it. If he can’t, he doesn’t earn my vote. I’ll leave the Presidential selection blank.

I will no longer support the status quo. Gun laws are going to go away one way or another. If we can’t have a candidate that will support that, let Obama win so we can get on with a civil war and put this nation back on the right track.
