IIRC, the Mayan Empire was extinguished by the conquering Aztecs just before the conquistadors arrived, who BTW put an end to the human sacrifices practiced by both cultures. Their ethnic descendants are found in Meso-America to this day.
So why is any credibility at all given to any predictions made by pagan barbarian sun-worshippers of an extinct system?
Not that cataclysmic events are to be ruled out. I’m sixty-three and am convinced that my own death will not come about due to natural causes at the normal end of life.
Just sayin’.
