Would you feel better if Butterball slaughtered turkeys according to kosher rules?

Kosher slaughter: Mammals and fowl must be slaughtered by a trained individual (a shochet) using a special method of slaughter, shechita (Deuteronomy 12:21). Among other features, shechita slaughter severs the jugular vein, carotid artery, esophagus and trachea in a single continuous cutting movement with an unserrated, sharp knife, which is intended to avoid unnecessary pain to the animal[citation needed] as consciousness is lost quickly due to loss of cerebral blood pressure.

I always heard that a lot of koranic rules were “copycat” rules of the OT. Like many others, Muhammed thought he could “improve” on biblical “errors”.
