I keep an eye on the Planned Parenthood Express in Orland Park, IL, near where I live.
I get creeped out every time I drive by. Its a very unwelcoming place; the blinds are always drawn. Come to think of it, Ive never seen a Planned Parenthood that wasnt trying to keep the light out.
And Ive also noticed that the storefront next door to this one has remained vacant for quite some time. A Subway restaurant used to rent that space, but it moved out over three years ago to a spot half a block down the street. I figure no one wants to be Planned Parenthoods neighbor, and with the glut of office space available, why should they?
So I called the real estate agent about the empty suite today. The guy said it has been vacant 1-1/2 years, which is short by 1-1/2 years.
I asked about the Planned Parenthood. He asked if it was a problem. I said it sure might be, were there pickets there? He said he wasnt aware of any, although I happen to know pro-lifers protest in front of this Planned Parenthood one Saturday a month.
At any rate, heres another simple way to stigmatize Planned Parenthood. Tell its neighbors tell its landlord that it is unwelcome.
And just why has a Pro Life Crisis Pregnancy Center not moved in? Get on the ball people!
The dramatizations on TV don't begin to cover that particular situation.
I was going to use the phrase “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.” to describe Planned Abortionhood, but then I forgot about our congresscritters.
I’m quite certain any attempt to open a pro-life shop next to PP would be met with an emergency injunction, courtesy of a dem-hack judge.
