If there was a point of no return for Sarah Palin when the former Alaska governor irreversibly undermined herself as a potential presidential canedidate it may have come in the aftermath of the attack on Gabrielle Giffords, when Palin taped a video calling it a "blood libel" to criticize her for having targeted the Arizona congresswoman's district with a crosshairs symbol online.
In their new book, Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, make it clear that they objected to Palin's imagery themselves, and that Giffords raised concerns about it at the time:
"She was troubled that her district was one of twenty targeted on Sarah Palin's Facebook page and website," Giffords' husband, Mark Kelly, writes in their book "Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope."

Because they hate us. And Sarah Palin is a personification of us. That, I think, has been the entirety of the hate-Palin campaign and most of them don’t even bother to hide it.
She said “Brave” after his prompting. She said something else before that.
I don’t expect her to be articulate with part of her brain blown away.
I find it disgusting how he is showcasing her like a pet pony.
Any ideas?
Exactly. The democraps have used the same “crosshairs.”
And lets not forget the late night Craig Kilborn show when he displayed a picture of George W. Bush with the words, “Snipers Wanted” printed on the photo. Disgusting.
They were not crosshairs; they were map markings. Sigh. . I reckon that ignorance is next to godliness to liberals.
What concerns me is that Mrs Giffords thinks she should run again for office, my daughter is severly brain damaged from a simple bump on the head in a car accident, not a bullet in the brain. My daughters memory is about 20 mins, and complex ideas elude her.
I’m sorry mame but it’s time to retire and let your husband care for you, not tug on the heart strings of the ignorant who vote out of simpathy instead of common sense.
Absolutely.
She should run just because of that.
