Enron's key to operation was quite simple ~ they had an "offshore" subsidiary that sold bonds to all sorts of foreign investors. Enron's debts were transferred to that subsidiary.

That way the main part of the business seemed to be quite substantial and secure.

If you are going to compare an activity to Enron you have to show us how that same sort of "two fer" situation is structured.

Even Bernie Madoff didn't have such a deal ~ for all we know he may have taken deposits and bought offshore Enron debt.

So far all Rossi has sold is a PRODUCT. There's no indication he's taken on investors, nor has he offered to sell stock. Either the product works or it doesn't.

BTW, Aaron's Rents/Aaron's Sells is America's largest employer (by percentage of work force) of released felons. The only requirement is that they must have had successful employment in a prison furniture making operation.

We needed some new furniture at work so I did some consulting with the experts at Aaron's. They said "You need to Talk to Unicor. We ultimate took delivery of it straight from the prisons where it was made by, among other folks, Michael Milken the Junk Bond King so well known for ripoffs back in the 1989s.

Milken was trusted with the use of scissors ~ something you can't trust your average federal prisoner to not try to steal. He got to cut the cloth. Every chair we received was manufactured perfectly with no errors of any kind.

I'd say Michael did good work and was remarkably reliable.

Crooks can rehab.

So, anyway, what is your problem with people who've beaten the rap (on 45 out of 50 charges BTW) and were convicted of only 5 technical offenses?

1) I mentioned Enron and Madoff as examples of scams perpetrated by what people thought were legitimate corporations.

2) Where did the prison story come from? Relevance?? Crooks can rehab? Does that mean you think Rossi was a crook in the past but now he's honest?

So, anyway, what is your problem with people who've beaten the rap (on 45 out of 50 charges BTW) and were convicted of only 5 technical offenses?

I would say he had a good attorney.

Defkalion is supposedly going to build Ecats (they call them Hyperions), are they ripping of Rossi?

Here's what Defkalion says:

“And the catalyst?” We asked. “It’s not supposed to be secret Rossi?”

“All the technology used in devices at the Hyperion KW and systems 1 to 5MW are our own design – different from those of Rossi” he replied. “As for the control, was already our own design and construction, and Mr. Rossi has signed acceptance certificate shows that it is ours. Even in the recent trial in October when he used some modules of our own design. However, the main and big difference in our device than that of Rossi is that our system is stable in performance, while that of Rossi or the last test failed to yield stable for more than five and a half hours. ”

So the rift between you was not due only to non-payment of first installment repayment, said Mr. Rossi?

“Not sure. We had finished the 15 million dollars of first dose, but Mr. Rossi did not sign the protocol of receipt, asking him to meet parameters such as the stable operation of the device for at least 48 hours. This was the real cause of the interruption of cooperation, but not celebrated in the media because they want to continue a deleterious confrontation. Us us interested in real progress, and this success. The technology will present a few days the world will be entirely Greek and appreciate its contribution to the overthrow of what exists in the energy market.

Defkalion link to above quote.

I would like to know exactly what this line means:

“...Not sure. We had finished the 15 million dollars of first dose...,

Did Defkalion already give Rossi $15 million or was that contingent on the test that Defkalion says failed?

Everyone says it's not a scam because he's not looking for investors or selling stock or points but here he had a $15 million contract, who knows who else he's contracted with?

To be fair to Rossi, there could be another answer: It sounds like either he didn't get the money because the Ecat failed testing or because he didn't sign the protocol of receipt? Now forget the failed test, if all he had to do to get $15 million was to sign a receipt and he didn't for whatever reason, that goes in Rossi's favor.

So, supposedly within fifteen days or so, Defkalion is going to announce something, this is starting to heat up.

If Defkalion does have a working Hyperion, I wonder how they're going to deal with Rossi? This could drag out for years in court.

Another possibility is that this is all orchestrated. Wasn't Defkalion founded by friends or associates of Rossi? If that's the case, the $15 million is a tease to show Rossi's integrity when he goes for the big scam whatever that is.

And now, something that would be cool. I found the link on the Defkalion site:

New Rocket Propulsion system

Better watch out though, the inventor is named Guido; he could be Mafia!

Hopefully in fifteen days we'll get some answers from Defkalion.

You have no idea how I want to be proved wrong, the world will change practically overnight, or at least until the governments get their mits on it; I could see the UN demanding that these things be given away for free or at cost (of course the UN would handle the transaction, we know how trustworthy they are with money, you would wish the Mafia were involved instead of the UN).

People are speculating about electric cars and planes. I would prefer to use the Ecat to handle the heating market and electrical markets and free up petroleum so we still have normal cars; I wonder what that would do to gas prices?

I still think it's a scam, time will tell.
