I’m excited about Herman Cain. I got on the Cain Train months ago with a financial contribution and am proudly displaying a Cain 2012 bumper sticker on my car today.
But with these harassment accusations, I witnessed a weak defense from the Cain camp. Herman often stated a key to success is surrounding yourself with a good team but this is where my concern lays.
If his team can’t handle a proper response here, how will he handle a real emergency?
What say you?

I didn’t pay attention to the allegations OR the response because of the timing.

His explanation thus far has been fine with me. I recognized the smear-tactic politics in this right off the bat, and I’m just not getting worked-up about it.
I’ve been hearing this all day, ever since the actual charges against him turned out to be nothing. It’s become a talking point of the media, the establishment and others who never had any intention of supporting Herman.
What exactly is your problem with the response? I’m looking for specifics here.
What would be a “proper response”?
They knew ahead of time this may be coming out and should have had all their P’s and Q’s in order beforehand, not this constant revolving story.
BTW, the Cain story didn't even make the intro to NBC Nightly News a few seconds ago.
It's done.
People see Cain as a regular American...not a spit and polished politician. They trust him and he is earning that trust. We believe he will tell us the truth, and if he doesn;t know it all, he will say so...and as soon as he finds out more, he let's us know.
Apparently a lot of people agree and are donating more to him now than ever because of the nature of this smear.
That's my feeling about it.
Time will tell if he sustains it...but as of right now he has my vote and my support as the most conservative candidate on the ticket and the one most apt to work with a resulting conservative House and Senate to get a lot of real work and constitutional restoration done...which is desperately needed
For someone who is not a career politician, Cain held up quite well. Cain is learning as he goes, and will be ready for Obama when the time comes.
