OAKLAND, Calif. - Filmmaker Michael Moore told anti-Wall Street protesters in Oakland that the Occupy movement - which has spread to cities across America and overseas - in inspiring millions who are angry about corporate excess, income inequality and the failure of politicians to address issues facing the majority of Americans.
"We've killed despair across the country and we've killed apathy," he said.
The director of the documentary films "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Bowling for Columbine" said people throughout the U.S. were "disgusted" and "horrified" when police fired tear gas and bean bags and took other aggressive actions against protesters Tuesday night.
Iraq war veteran Scott Olsen, 24, remains hospitalized in fair condition with a fractured skull suffered from a projectile fired during a sweep of Frank Ogawa Plaza by police in riot gear. His condition has become a rallying cry at Occupy protests around the world....

Michael Moore is himself the epitome of the old saying, It’s not how wealthy you are, but what you do with the wealth you have, that makes life meaningful. Frankly, if he actually focused on less profiteering from getting a rise out of people, I figure he could be a happier, healthier man, as well.
The only think the occupiers killed was the grass they are camping out on.

Actually, people across the US are disgusted and horrified that anyone would think we are so stupid as to not see through Moore’s and Bloomberg’s juvenile agitprop production.
That's the kind of crap that really pisses me off. Why is it, "Iraq war veteran"? "Scott Olsen" wasn't enough? It had to be "Iraq war veteran"? I get so tired of commie libs always exploiting the military. Are we sure that he is even a "war veteran"? I heard someone say that, although there are very few Navy SEALS, the bars all over America are packed with them on Friday and Saturday nights. That is so true.

When I was a veteran’s career counselor at the unemployment office in the 1980’s and 90’s, I had a guy come in with a cane. He sat down and gave me a half hour long cock & bull story about being a SEAL officer in Vietnam, being captured by the North Vietnamese and shipped off to the Soviet Union. After he left, I called the Navy people in California. After they got done rolling around the floor laughing, they told me no SEAL had ever been taken POW. The next time the feather merchant came in, I asked him, point-blank “are you even a real veteran?” at which he ran away, cane and all.
Apathy huh? Well, there’s not you can say about apathy, eh?
I read an obituary here a few months ago. Yikes! All the lies that old guy told to his girlfriend and friends ended up in the obit. Any veteran that read it knew it was all BS. Posers really need to be careful about the stories they tell. Oh well... he’ll be missed.

These people live in delusion. Like the Christians they hate that are some fictional creatures that exist only in their minds, the “1%” is some imaginary person that is superrich with millions of dollars that goes to bed at night rubbing their hands like Scrooge and giggling over babies starving. As someone who has never served, to my great regret, it’s been my experience in knowing those veterans who have served and who have survived combat, from my late-grandfather, a WW1 vet and from every war right up to and including the current one(s). Never, and I mean NEVER, have I ever seen or heard of anyone of them mouthing off in a bar room on a Saturday night about how they ‘’won the war’’. To a man, and they were all men, they were to a man the most humble, quiet and dignified of people I’ve ever met.
SUre, the cops were there in suitable attire and then the mob began tossing bottles, sticks and rocks at them.
They then defended themselves.
One of the rioters defend the attack on the grounds that the cops were sufficiently armored to withstand bottles.
Hmm?
