Obozo was a lawyer and is represented by many. Be very precise when you examine their statements. They often use "legal weasel words". In this case the difference between "American citizen" and "United States" citizen. The word American can apply to countries other than the United States.
When HI verified his citizenship, they used the term "American citizen" and stated that he was a "natural born American citizen". They did not state that he was a "natural born United States citizen".
My own take on it was that the W.H. (white hut) was TRYING to keep this an issue to draw attention away from reality and toward a "strawman".
