My City is already past hell-hole. It is returning to nature.
there are entire city blocks that have been abandoned, having only the occasional empty shell of a house with trees growing through the roof.
Reading is a skill that is free to learn. Of course, if half your population came from a third world country...

A great early sign is when you realize that you can no longer tolerate an attempt to see a movie at your local theatre. Rude behavior of the patrons and their inability to sit quietly makes it impossible. It’s a clear indicator that you no longer reside among the civilized.
Our cities are hellholes because of those that live in them.
One might say its due to those that run them, but they are a direct result of the voting patterns of those who live there.
“Hey, it’s a drum circle Maaaaan” = ASHEVILLE
...the main drag is renamed "Martin Luther King Blvd."
Or when learning is considered “Too WHITE”!!
Prostitution and drug dealing don’t get legislated into the ground by the EPA.
Also Prostitution and drug dealing avoid the minimum wage and affirmative action laws.
If the Government started running Prostitution and drug dealing: those two occupations would disappear from history.
You know your city has become a hellhole when bumper stickers and posters are distributed in a large area of the city saying “Stop Shooting People” (Rockford, IL) ... and people USE them!

The left, from within both major political parties, continues to dominate politics, throughout all U.S. cities, and this leftist dominance of all U.S. cities has been ongoing for many decades and counting. If true, all around conservatism can’t, really, end the ongoing political dominance throughout all U.S. cities, then U.S. conservatism could be on the way out of existence, for the long-term.
For this very reason, there are no first run cinemas in the City of St. Louis. There are very few grocery stores either, which I urge everyone to keep in mind when the hammer falls, the denizens of the inner city will eat everything they have in a matter of days and then will be coming out into the counties to feed, amongst other things.
How much they are deterred is directly proportional to how well you are prepared, if you catch my drift.
You know that your city has become a hellhole when it eliminates the entire public bus system.
it probably cost too much too operate (and will then be replaced with something even more expensive, like a train.)
