I appreciate you sentiment, but there are several problems with that approach.

Seriously, 50 % of us are analogous to oysters: we just sit, open our mail box and let “The Eagle” fly over it. That is to say that 50 % of us do not pay ANY personal Federal income taxes. These people know that all they have to do is keep on voting in kooks like Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and they will never have to pay any Personal Federal income taxes for the rest of their sorry, parasitic lives.

It may take a Constitutional Amendment to outlaw any Federal connection with any medical or insurance “entitlements” in order to break the financial death spiral that we are currently in.

None. Politics is a game of Russian roulette and most sane people don't enter it because they don't want the media attention on every aspect of their life. No matter how honorable we have lived our lives, we all have skeletons in the closet that we don't want the DBM airing on the national stage, regardless how minor they may be.
BTW, I agree with everything else you said, with a couple of minor exceptions. We are ONLY going to get a Constitutional Amendment to outlaw any federal association with health care by enacting it ourselves at the point of a gun. Politicians aren't going to intentionlly take any action that may limit their power now or in the future. While we, on this site, talk a lot about getting conservatives in Congress who will roll the clock and the power of the Congress back, the fact is that no politician is voluntarily going to do that. Once in Washington, they all become selectively deaf and join the "more-power-for-me-and-screw-you club!"
So (as if I haven't made this point clear), IMO the only way to make these things happen is for we, the people who own this government, to stop hoping that we elected honorable people and just do it ourselves (at the point of a gun, if that's what it takes).
