Some folks who are serious about space colonization are upset by this video. The gist of their fear is that we aren't going to establish humanity off-world before the Green freaks, eco-nuts, and Luddites drag us down into a new Dark Age.

Sadly, the Dark Age we all fear has to come before we can open the frontier.

This is a world at war. The forces of Good (God, order, duty, love) are fighting the forces of Evil (Satan, chaos, liberty, self-worship). The Good Guys go by many different names. I call the bad guys the Revolution. Today, the Revolution holds power around the world. We can’t hope to fight it; the Revolutionary Vanguard have the metaphorical Maxim gun, and we have not. It's called State power, and the enlightened ones have no qualms about using it to further the Great Work. This, as the video notes, is the establishment of a techno-utopia for the Revolutionary Vanguard, and the scouring of the rest of humanity from the face of Mother Earth. The Revolution's ultimate goal: the enlightened few, walking alone and in silence among the unspoiled beauty of a depopulated world. Heaven will be a Place on on Earth. They Will have Gotten Themselves Back to the Garden. These eternal Mandarins will eat freely of the digital trees of a technocommunist Paradise, their lives extended to the maximum by technological means, their humanity — and the hole in their souls they cannot plug with all their orgasms, hedonism, and soma — genetically engineered away. This is C.S. Lewis’ “Abolition of Man”: they will do away with humanity — their own included — to build by the wisdom of Solomon the new Temple of Hiram Abiff, incarnate the goddess Liberty upon the Holy of Holies, and by so doing realize the promise of Genesis 3:22.

Skull and Bones Icon
They've never hidden their purpose.
It's right there in plain sight for those who can see it

Fortunately, they can’t succeed. The Revolution is contrary to human nature and the teleology of the Universe, not to mention the Will of You Know Who, and it cannot endure. Its foundation is chaos, the state of absolute individual liberty, Do What Thou Wilt -- a basis of sand. Their attempts to “immanentize the Eschaton” have instead created Hell on Earth, one that has gotten hotter each day since 1789. (This is the true global warming).

And it won't last. The global technocratic system is already starting to come apart — and once it does, the Revolution’s rod of power — the State Almighty -- shatters. The ability of the enlightened few to enact their utopian schemes will crumble. Things will fall apart; the center will not hold. "I have seen the Future, brother -- it is murder."

And then? Order will return, as it always does -- and an order based not upon the sullen ideology of the Revolution, but upon the organic structure of human life: the family, writ large as the Tribe. The Tribes will return, they will scour the scum of the Revolution from the world, they will enshrine the natural social order in the courts of law, and, in time, they will resurrect the Empire amid the ruins of the old. As in A.D. 800, a new King of the Franks will someday kneel on the porphyry. In time, his Empire will send forth caravels of its own, this time to the stars.

The way home does not go around the Dark Age. It goes through its center, and out the other side.

Liberty, as in liberated from G-d. Not as we think of it, in terms of liberation from the tyranny of a state.

At least that’s how I took it.

Thanks for the explanation, I was baffled by that one.

Since I am one of those liberated non-believers, I guess I’m part of...The Conspiracy...!

Seriously?

Libertines have always been seriously hedonistic and therefore ungodly. In this context it's not about liberty from an oppressive government.

There is a difference between liberty and license. The Founders knew this, and would have been insulted to have been called a libertine. Some believe that liberty itself must be sinful because of Man’s inherent depravity. This is the dividing line between Calvinists and those who believe in free will.

As for the ‘322’ in the picture, isn’t that the symbol of the Skull & Bones club at Yale? Are we discussing the Illuminati as well?

Generally, I find there to be about four civilizations/societies/types of people in the world. One is good; three are evil.

1) Christians and those who live by similar values and/or values descended from Christianity.

2) Muslims.

3) Hedonists/moral relativists/ postmoderns. Kind of like what you see in Brave New World. These peoples/societies are found in places like dying Europe and Japan.

4) Pagans/fascists/totalitarians. More like what you see in 1984 and in China.

One of the craziest things about Barack Husein Obama is that he may actually be able to be classified as types 2, 3, and 4.

That’s why my previous tagline was “Obama: pansy progressive, mad Mohammedan, or totalitarian tyrant? Or all three?”

Well the morons on the left have no g-damned clue about the nature of nature and how humans fit into it. They view as making humans like all the other animals, living in the mud as nothing more than SIMPLE tool using animals.

But Humans are MUCH more than that, we have brains and intelligence and WILL to achieve great achievements that NO OTHER ANIMAL in the history of earth has accomplished. Weather you think the the history of Earth is the sum total of 4 billion or 6 thousand years this simple fact is UNDENIABLE.

In 4 billion years according to most theories the sun will expand and burn the earth to a crisp. So all those animals they claim to protect will be killed off anyways and in the grand scheme of things IT WOULD NOT HAVE MATTERED! We owe it to ourselves and the other animals on this planet to expand into space and take this one basket and start making new baskets. otherwise the grans experiment that nature or god started will have been in VAIN.

Interesting ideas.

I agree with the idea that the State the Revolution wants to destroy, or says it does, is their only road to power. They must capture and hold the commanding heights to gain and keep power.

I disagree that a renewal of Tribes will necessarily bring peace, prosperity and plenty.

Historically, Tribes spend most of their energies fighting each other. A world of nuclear-armed Tribes might not last very long at all.

The author is saying (I may be wrong about this) that we're basically going through the fall of the Roman Empire again, and that the "new Germans" and "new Franks" will eventually resurrect it. I'm sure plenty of blood will be spilled along the way. As for nuclear arms, they won't function for long; they have to be topped off with extra nuclear materials (e.g., tritium) every so often or they lose their ability to fuse. Any new "tribes" won't have access to that kind of stuff.

Again, I could be wrong about the author's intentions.

I feel SO STUPID!!!! I have never ever thought about that! What an amazing concept. Without one, the nation as we know it, disappears. Incredible that I had never realized this before.

The way home does not go around the Dark Age. It goes through its center, and out the other side.

This is the only part I understand. The metaphorical man, stupefied by inactivity, indifference or the fear of "not lowering himself to their level," finally awakens and prevails, without pity or mercy.

And as for those who failed to grasp the reference to "liberty," it is the new liberty of the left, the "progressives," better known as chaos and license. The very concept that manufactures the possibility that a society or culture can be defended and maintained by perverts. Officially.

I just hope to live long enough to take part in the restoration.
