The Self-Deception of the Left
American Thinker ^ | September 22, 2011 | Ryan Scott Welch

How can the left possibly defeat a movement that they do not understand and, worse, that they purposely misunderstand?

Michael Moore lies every times he opens his mouth. For him it is easier to lie than to breathe. But with that said, he is doing America and conservatives in the Tea Party a great service because the only people who listen to his bile are the left, and the more they are deceived, the easier they will be to defeat.

Here is what I mean: as a military officer, I study tactics as a part of my professional development, and in my studies I learned that deception is a principle of war. In other words, armies spend millions, even billions in deception because that gives them a tactical advantage. This comes in every form imaginable, from pixelated camouflage uniforms so that soldiers can blend in with their environmen, to stealth aircraft, and from encrypted radio communications to spies spreading misinformation.

I really like this article, I think many of the problems of the Democrats stem from this type of arrogance. The interesting thing is that the people they fail to understand are their own fellow Americans. We are a practical people and those with solutions, even if not perfect, have the edge over liberals with slogans.

Excellent article. It is all true. When you lie to yourself, you have a great weakness.

We are winning.

This article made me feel so much better. I used to get incensed when I heard the likes of Garaffalo and Maher. I wanted to set the record straight.

Now knowing that their smears are out of desperation and that it makes them underestimate us I feel better.

I saw a comment once: The left is frantically paging through Rules for Radicals on how to deal with smiling old people with lawn chairs.

Using the same old predictable tactics - they are slowing realizing that just because the media was parroting their views didn’t mean that the rest of the country felt the same way.

We surround them.

You are looking for logic where none can possibly exist. The democraps are a party of feelings, not of any sort of logic. Critical thinking interferes with their feelings.

yes, we are winning. But only because enough people are paying “more” attention now. If enough people (voters) had
paid attention in 2008.....
