I don't think Sarah ever really wanted to run. I think she is willing to, if there were no other good candidates out there and she felt the country needed her. As those who know here well say, she hs a servant's heart. But I think she is probably quite happy to let Perry (who she likes and supported for reelection) take the standard and lead the charge.
Of course I could be completely wrong.
Nothing personal, but I suspect you are, indeed, wrong. She was recently asked, after Perry joined the race, whether there was anyone in the field she could support, and she said no. Sounds pretty final to me. I say she's in.
I hope she runs even if she can’t win in 2012. It would help her regain credibility in the long-term. It’s going to take a lot of hard work if she does have ideas about being President sometime down the road.
What I’m wondering is if she feels like she’ll be turning her back on her supporters if she doesn’t run in 2012.
