Why should we (Americans) “bridge the cultural divide”? Why don’t they become Americans. I am sick of politicians sucking up to muslims. America can do just fine without them.

Nobody has stronger self identifying rights than Texans.
We’ll give anyone a chance if just for the entertainment value.
That said, Texans have assimilated so many cultures without ever losing who they are its stunning.
Perry has kids learning Islam in his schools....now how many Christians from Texas are in the Mosques teaching Christianity?
The bridge He speaks of is to generate revenue from the ME. for business ventures.....but these always have conditions. Build Mosques and Islamic community centers. Perry did both and then put Islamic teaching in the schools.
