You can call it “moderate” and snigger under your breath, but it’s practical, and logical.
Do you blame the children for their parents illegal acts?
Do you blame an 11 year old if the parents are drug dealers?
Do you blame an 15 year old if the parents are caught speeding? Drunk driving?
There’s a “perfect world”, which ain’t happening until Jesus comes back - then there’s the “real world”.
Different folks have different opinions, I get that. I’m ok with us not agreeing on this specific topic - because hey, God made us different - and that’s a GREAT and BLESSED thing.
Of the folks specifically declared to be running - ANY of the R’s are better than Obama, but I like Bachmann - and Cain.
*IF* Palin runs, I’d like her, too. *IF* Perry runs, I’d like him, too.
Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. (Deuteronomy 24:16)
Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. But each one shall die for his own sin. (2 Kings 14:6)
The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. (Ezekiel 18:20, cf. Jeremiah 31:30)
And for those who might, please dont quote the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.
I the Lord...visit the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:5; cf. Numbers 14:18)
