The creating of the Kingdom is best left up to the Creator. The hubris of those who think they know ANYTHING about how to go about that is plain folly.

Sinanju, Former is correct; your #12 is very well said.

Roger, whoever added the words “of God” to the title you used completely changed the meaning of what O actually stated.

As SumProVita pointed out, it appears he arrogantly stated, “WE can create a KINGDOM right here on earth.”

One wonders WTH is “we”, the basis for their authority, what kind of kingdom they have in mind, how they intend to bring it about and what result if one doesn’t want to live in the kingdom envisioned by the most powerful man on earth.

Nope, because that is what he is talking about in this context. He just has a much different (Gnostic) context of God than most people may have. Black Liberation Theology teaches to worship of the black race as god.

Black Nationalism has been much influenced by Gnosticism. Suggest you research what Gnosticism is all about. They believe in the worship of man, Jesus/Messiah is just a type and anyone can aspire to this type of spiritual perfection. The millennial utopian Kingdom will be physical government, brought on by real men. This doesn’t mean that it is not spirtual. Gnostics believe in a Pleroma, a Godhead, somewhat like the Hindus, but they don’t believe in an afterlife in a spiritual heaven with a fatherly God figure. I think the Pentecostal that believe in Kingdom or Dominion theology also have common Gnostic root influences as Black Liberation Theology.

“Suggest you research what Gnosticism is all about.”

Bad assumption on your part.

The title includes the word “God” in upper caps. While much of what you say in #23 and #24 is valid, your use of the word “god” in #23 defeats your explanation why the use of “God” in the title is valid.

I.e., I agree that O may have been thinking of “god”, but there is no basis to suggest he was thinking of “God”.

Othewise, I thought the article was informative.

All nouns are capitalized in that title. You are making a bit too much out of a single letter.

A lot of people don’t seem to realize that there are other concepts of God besides their own. That is a problem, I think, because people are often projecting their own motivations and religious concepts on other people, who don’t share them.
