Have her check out Second Baptist Church. Great singles groups that do lots of stuff not necessarily related to church. There are some sailboating, canoeing and skiing groups available - several in the Clear Lake area. Group names sometimes listed in Leisure Learning class schedules. Also several single golf groups that play all over the area most every weekend.
My niece and her hubbie met at the Young Republicans club in Houston. When our daughter moved to Katy, they invited her to a meeting and she met her BF who proposed to her two weeks ago.
