For awhile now Ive gotten e-mails from people concerned about Pres. Obama and this administration restricting gun rights. I honestly thought they were being a bit conspiratorial. That is, until I read this:
Twelve Democratic senators have joined 45 Republicans in a fast growing movement to halt progress on an Obama-backed United Nations effort that could bring international gun control into the United States and slap Americas gun owners with severe restrictions.
Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Testers office today provided Whispers with their letter, signed by 11 other Democrats, urging the president to press for significant changes in the treaty. Their major concern: that domestic manufacture, possession, and sales of firearms and ammo will be included, thereby giving an international authority the right to regulate arms sales already protected by the Second Amendment. They also said any move for an international gun registry would be a non-starter
When Democrats themselves are joining Republicans to defend our 2nd Amendment rights, you know you have something to worry about.
Speaking to La Raza the other day, Pres. Obama said, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own, (to which the crowd changed Yes you can! (Scary, right?) Then Obama added, Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting.
In this case, so tempting he decided that if he cant change the laws here, he could just bypass them by an international treaty.

How could the Federal government have the Constitutional authority to sign a treaty that takes away rights that the government doesn’t have the authority to take on it’s own?
Why change the treaty, Just tell the UN to take their treaty and shove it up their Butts.
Someone should inform the Dems that if they cede sovereignty to the UN, the dems then lose power to the UN and are then marginalized.
Treaties are for foreign (i.e. external) affairs. Domestic regulations have no place in a foreign treaty.
No treaty can override the Constitution!
I'm tempted to print out two copies of the text, "ratify" them the next time I'm at the range, and then forward them to my senators. I just need to think of something clever to use as the return address.
Even better... stack up a dozen copies at a time before perforating them, then hand them out at a gun show.
In 1994, the US Senate rejected the UN Biodiversity Treaty.
Clinton illegally implemented the treaty via a series of executive orders. That illegal treaty is now being forced on us by the federal fascist bureaucracy. And our traitorous congress is doing nothing to stop it. At the least, there should be hundreds of fascist bureaucrats sitting in prison.
Now, this (treason) is what Clinton should have been impeached for.
That Marxist pig in the whitehouse will do everything possible to make this next treaty the law of the land. If he tries to implement this treaty via executive order, that’s treason and he needs to be impeached.
Thanks for pointing that out. There are not 67 votes in the Senate for this treaty and there never will be.
