If the government started aggressively departing all illegals they found, soon they’d find that a sizable percentage of them will make the job easier by self-deporting so they can gather up all their belongings and avoid having their names in the U.S. system as an illegal.
We’d never need to physically deport all X-million individuals.

Easy way to stop family separation: have the whole family voluntarily go back with the deportee. Oh, they’d rather be here than with their beloved deported family member? Screw ‘em then.

On the plus side, it looks like there’s a conservative latino already laying the groundwork to run against Guiterrez in 2012. He is also Puetro Rican like Guiterrez so that might neutralize Guiterrez’s unique playing card in the latino community. With the remap, I’m guessing the 4th will have more GOP voters as the case with almost every “safe” Crook County RAT district. The RATs tried to absorb as many GOP areas as possible to screw the Republican incumbents in the rest of the state. They have Bobby Rush all the way out in Elwood and Manhatten, IL (I’m sure the people in those small Will county towns will be thrilled to their new Congressman’s top agenda is “slave reparations”)
So it looks like 2012 is shaping up to be Hector Concepcion (R) vs. Luis Guiterrez (D). Of course the district will probably end up something like “only” 70% RAT instead of 85% RAT.

The Obama % in 2008 went down to 80, from 85 under the old lines. Bush got 79% in 2004 so it’s maybe 73% Bush in 04 under the new lines.
And Brady got a beefy 23% to just 67% for Quinn.
I hope our friend who moved south isn’t gonna come along and tell me Concepcion is really a democrat. ;d

#s for Brady are under the new lines. So if the seat is about 5 points more Republican that would mean Bush in 2004 did better than Brady. Yeah that’s not fishy at all.
