I am wondering if the impetus for F&F was the failure of Gunrunner. ATF spent a lot of money and the results were poor enough that there were IG investigations of how the money was spent. In some areas millions of dollars netted a dozen arrests.

That could be. I’m of a mind that GunWalker/F&F, as well as this new operation that appears to have been ran out of the Miami office of ATF and aimed at Honduras, are spin-offs of Gunrunner. Just the Gunrunner/GunWalker similarity in names makes me suspicious if nothing else.

F&F was done out of the Phoenix ATF office under the umbrella of Gunrunner. They’re not synonymous but they are related. The funding came from the same place.
